Choosing the right care team is such a personal decision, and families in the DC Metro area have so many wonderful options, from midwives to experienced OBs. Some people need the expertise of an OB for a high-risk pregnancy, while others simply feel more at ease knowing they have a doctor with advanced medical training by their side. I know OBs sometimes get an unfair reputation in natural birth circles, but many are deeply dedicated to helping families have safe, supported, and empowering birth experiences.
